First and foremost, thank you so much for visiing my website. Now that you are here allow me to tell you a bit about myself. I was born on Governor's Island, New York to Olga and Juan Maldonado. My parents were from Puerto Rico, and gave me very strong connections to my roots. Being from a military family, I grew up doing extensive travelling. This enabled me to quickly adjust to new people and situations. Sometimes feeling lonely, I'd recreate scenes from movies in my room. Movies & Television were my escape and the only constant in my life.

Unfortunately, my father was killed in war and so my mother moved us to Puerto Rico. There, I mastered Spanish and worked on my first professional gig as an actress. Although I loved the stage, I went to the University of Puerto Rico where I received my B.A. in Psychology and then an M.A. in Communications from the University of Georgia.

After college, I moved to Los Angeles, were I was an assistant at The Honey Sanders Agency. After seeing so many actors go after their dreams, I decided I should commit full time to acting. I studied the two year Meisner Technique Program with Joanne Baron.  After completing the program, I was fortunate to get my first agent and never looked back. My first acting jobs in LA were of course in the theater. I started with The Bilingual Foundations of the Arts, and later joined West Coast Ensemble. I went on to work at The Mark Taper Forum and South Coast Rep, and even at the Ally Theater in Houston, Texas.  I can honestly say I have been a working actress for over 25 years.

I have studied with many amazing people.
Among them, Ivana Chubbuck, Joanne Baron, Risa Bramon Garcia, Margie Haber, The Groundlings, Carolyn Barry, Cliff Osmond, Robert Reese, Andrew Benne, Carter-Thor,  to name a few.  Yes, I am ALWAYS in class honing my craft! Currently, I am at The Warner Loughlin Studios. I love this space and this place! There is such a serene and supportive feeling in class that allows you to explore without judgement or fear. I've grown so much here! But of course this growth would not exsist without my previous teachers!!!

I have had the pleasure to work with amazing artists and have had incredible roles, yet my most prized role is the one of  wife and MOTHER! I am the proud mother of two Serborican sons (half Serbian, half Puerto Rican)
Jovan, a USC graduate, who is a sports journalist with The Athletic & Nikolas Buha an NYU graduate, who works for Morgan Stanley in NY. So very proud of my sons! My wonderful husband is Dragan Buha is an engineer with Jacobs. My family life is my most prized possession!!! As a result of our mixed cultures, we speak English, Spanish & Serbain in our household.

Thank you, Gracias, Hvala!!!
